Aiden's Surf
Shack was sent to California and is shown here in a full/double size
bed. This custom theme bed was dreamed up by mom and our design
staff. With a mother's dream for her little boy to sleep in his own bed, mom came up
with the idea of a Surf Shack Theme for his room. Aiden is 2 years old
and has made
his transition from the crib to his own BIG Bed successfully. This little
guy sleeps below
in the loft area and uses the loft for the play area until he becomes a little
more grown
up. Equipped with recess lighting in the sleeping area door bell
on the exterior, and stairs. The exterior is custom painted with
driftwood name sign, wet suite, swim suite, surf board, menu board.
Stairs are painted with sand foot prints the little stairs in front
are painted with a set of flip flops. Each bed is custom painted to
your specifications. Aiden
enjoys it so
much he does not want to come out of his playbed!

I never thought it would look the way it did. Pictures didn’t do the bed any justice.
Every time my son walks into his room his face lights up
as if it was the first time he has seen it.
When my husband came home that night he lit up as well……. let me tell you watching a grown man go down the slide is priceless….. Where were you when we were kids???? New
for 2008 notice our Bamboo Trim around the windows and door entry on
Nico's Surf Shack along with our New Wave Slide and Hide Away Drawers in
the Stairs. Nico who is only 2 years old was over whelmed with his
new Surf Shack theme bed. Nico made the transition from his crib to his
new bed with out any problem. Once he entered the room and saw this bed
he was so excited to play.
He
ran up the stairs across the top to the wave slide and down he slid. The
tower of the slide has 2 storage areas with 2 adjustable shelves. He had
mommy go down the slide too! Nico was at a loss for words all he could
say was play, slide, play, slide. Nico, mommy and nanny played all
afternoon. When we left the room he would cry because he wanted to play
. Putting Nico to bed that evening was no problem. This bed came
equipped with fiber optic stars and recessed lighting in the ceiling
each
having
there own switch this was something that Nico was fascinated with,
turning on and off the lights a big hit along with the exterior
door bell for easy wakening in the morning. The Hide Away Drawers in the
Stairs store all kinds of treasures, toy's clothes, shoes, games and the
drawers have inset handles and auto closures for children's safety. The
side tower of the stairs has additional 3 drawers and 2 adjustable
shelves. (picture shown below)
Faux
finished exterior with beach sand, shells, swim suite, seagull, to the
beach sign and drift wood name sign completes the exterior. The
optional artist interior specialty painting consists of nation flags,
life saver ring and paddles. Our faux muralist's can finish any theme
bed to your customization.
Eric is 9 years old mom's request was that Eric had his play space below
converted to a study area. We custom built a computer desk with storage
space above the desk for desk supplies
or computer programs/games. A
bookshelf on the side wall stores books, games, toys. The loft area on
top Eric spends his free time playing his video games from his custom
designed game panel. This panel gives access to view video games or watch his favorite TV programs right from his bed.
Extra shelves on each end of the roof to display trophy's and treasures. Custom
Playhouses can design and build most anything thing you can imagine.
Interior custom painted with faux wood grain walls, ceiling includes
fiber optic twinkle stars and recessed lights with faux painted
clouds. The
custom painting turns this Surf Shack into a walk up beach restaurant
with chalk board menu board that can change daily for daily lunch
specials painted with bar stools and sodas. Eric's Surf Shack is painted
to look
and feel like it is in the beach sand, notice the bottom where
you can view textured sand , shells, and crabs. Our artists can paint any
designs you can dream up.
On the other side exterior wall our artist
painted several surf signs. The surf is up to your imagination!
Chase
already had a ocean scene painted on his walls. Mom chose a darker wood
faux finish and trim for Chase's bed. Once again Custom Playhouses was
asked to custom build this bed for Chase's room. We needed to add a
window to the back wall of the bed for viewing through the window which
was already on the wall in the room. Also added to this structure was
the surf board growth chart. Chase is 18 months old and soon to become
the big brother of a new baby sister so mom felt it time to make the
transition from the little boy bed to the big brother bed.
Once
these little ones see they're new big kid's theme beds there is no going
back or even mention of that old bed. One of Chase's favorite things
about his bed is the switch to turn on and off the lights. The fiber
optic twinkle stars are a big hit with all the kids. Custom painted with
some of Chase's favorite things like green lizards crawling on the
windows, frogs, crabs,
and
shells in the sand. Our theme beds are the same size on top as on the
bottom. Sleeping area can start on the bottom and move the mattress to
the top as your child grows. You may have two children sharing a room
use our theme beds as a bunk bed.
Carson
has a new home and a new big bed to move into what a surprise.
Need more drawer space ? New drawers in the stairs take the place
of a dresser. Carson's room is paneled in car siding and painted in a
very nautical blue with white trim. Beige carpet which helps to make the
Surf Shack appear to be in the sand on the beach. Hand cut wood name
sign above the door along with a hand cut wood to the beach sign. Our
new style Surf Shack has grooved lines to look more like car
siding and thick trim on all windows and door entry. A very light
white wash painted on the exterior and interior. Interior with recessed
lighting. Sand foot prints on the side stairs and cute little flip flops
on the front stairs.
